Activist Connie Cole

Based in the Providence, RI, area, Connie Cole has extensive experience as a community volunteer. She is especially passionate about protesting injustice and inequality. In 1969, Connie Cole participated in a march on Washington to end the war in Vietnam. Three years earlier, she joined the National Forest Service in developing an interpretive trail in the Gros Ventre slide area outside of Kelly, Wyoming.

Connie Cole has volunteered with several organizations, including her work with the Clergy Consultation Service, outside of Philadelphia, PA.. As a political volunteer, Connie Cole worked in Montgomery County, PA, on a political campaign to elect Norval D. Reece to the Senate in 1970. That same year, she volunteered in Marlborough, MA, on the campaign of Fr Robert Drinan for election to the US House from Massachusetts.
Ms. Cole has also worked for the Y-Teen branch of the YWCA. She has experience as a camp counselor in New Hampshire, Wyoming, and Rhode Island.
